90’s Collection | BabyBoon Sleep Suit
The colors of the 90’s Collection are not chosen by chance.
They are inspired by the 1990s, a decade that shaped all of us.
Despite our very different childhoods, the colors we remembered are the same.
The shades we wore, loved, and recognized were unified across the world.
This was the power of the 1990s, a time when cultures began blending, trends crossed borders, and colors became universal.
Even with different upbringings, the same colors reached all of us.
That is why the 90’s Collection feels familiar, no matter where you grew up.
Today, as parents, we choose those colors again, this time for our children.

01 · The suit
Meet your sleep suit
A wearable blanket that keeps baby cosy all night — without loose bedding in the crib. No swaddle to kick off, no blanket to worry about.
Diaper changes without a full undress.
Lies flat, can’t ride up over the face.
The right warmth for the room.
Hips and legs move freely.
Soft against baby’s skin.
02 · The details
Made for easy nights
Three details do most of the work while everyone else is asleep.
Scooped neckline
Lies flat on the chest, away from baby’s face.
Double zipper
Opens from either side for quick night changes.
Hands & feet
Fingers and toes free for self-soothing.
03 · Inside the suit
3 layers of comfort
Three layers doing one job: tough enough for the wash, soft enough to sleep in.
Gentle and durable, wash after wash.
The cosy, gently-weighted feel that eases the move out of the swaddle.
Breathable softness right against the skin.
Outer, fill and lining are all cotton — nothing else touches baby.
04 · The fit
The proper fit
Sizing follows weight, not age — the months are a guide, the weight range decides. The same four checks apply to either size.
Pick the size by weight
- S0–6 months · 12–18 lbs
- M6–12 months · 15–24 lbs
Then check all four — either size
- No gap at the neck — shoulders can’t wiggle out.
- Scooped neck lies flat on the chest, away from the face.
- Cosy in the trunk — room to rotate hips, not to pull legs up inside.
- Hands and feet visible at the open cuffs.
05 · Every night
Getting started
Three small steps, the same way round, every night.
Check the room
Use the TOG guide below to pick tonight’s layers, and dress baby in just the base layer it calls for.
Zip up snug
Fasten from the bottom, then smooth the neckline flat against the chest.
Back to sleep, always
On their back, on a firm flat surface, with nothing else in the crib.
06 · The chart
The TOG guide
For a 1.0–2.5 TOG suit — match the room to the layer underneath.
| Above 75°F (24°C) | Too warm for any TOG bag — diaper only, or the lightest layer you have. |
|---|---|
| 69–74°F (21–23°C) | 1.0 TOGShort-sleeve bodysuit or vest. Nothing more. |
| 64–68°F (18–20°C) | 1.5–2.0 TOGLong-sleeve bodysuit underneath. |
| 61–64°F (16–17°C) | Full 2.5 TOGLong-sleeve bodysuit plus warm pyjamas. |
| Below 61°F (16°C) | 2.5 TOG isn’t enough alone — 3.5 TOG bag or add fleece layers. |
Combined guidance from ergoPouch, Halo and Love to Dream charts — all consistent with one another.
07 · Safe sleep
The dos
- Keep the room cool — around 61–68°F (16–20°C) is the sweet spot.
- Match the suit’s TOG rating to the room temperature.
- Always lay baby on their back, on a firm, flat, bare crib mattress.
- Leave plenty of room for hips and legs to move freely inside the suit.
- Check the chest or the back of the neck — not hands or feet — to gauge comfort.
The don’ts
- Don’t add clothing beyond what the TOG guide calls for — overheating beats being slightly cool as a risk.
- Don’t add loose blankets, pillows, bumpers or soft toys — the suit is the only bedding.
- Don’t leave a hat on indoors while sleeping — heat escapes through the head.
- Don’t use the suit if the zipper, snaps or fabric are frayed or damaged.
- Don’t use any TOG suit above 75°F (24°C).
08 · Good to know
A few safety notes
Newborns regulate temperature poorly. When in doubt, dress lighter, not heavier — overheating is a bigger SIDS risk factor than being slightly cool.
Check the chest or the back of the neck to gauge comfort — not hands or feet, which are naturally cooler.
Watch for sweating or flushed cheeks — clear signs baby is overdressed for the room.
Recommended nursery temperature: 61–68°F (16–20°C), per most safe-sleep guidance (Lullaby Trust / NHS).
